Sharing The Word of God

Lord willing our goal is to plant local churches in the country of Brazil. Initially we will go to São Paulo for language School. After one to one and a half years of language school we will then seek a ministry to better help learn the culture. We want to be sensitive to the Lord and so we have not decided where to work yet. Nor have we chosen a location as to where we will begin once we go on our own. We are excited to see what the Lord will allow us to do in Brazil.

Our attitude with the Lord is that the sky is the limit. With hard work we want to achieve as much in the Lord as humanly possible. If a million souls accept Christ as their Savior or just one soul we will do it all to the glory of God. We hope that you will simply pray and ask God what part He would allow you to have with our ministry. Ultimately, we need your support in prayer.

Rondônia is nestled in northwest Brazil, with Porto Velho as its capital city. It boasts a total area of 237 576.16 square kilometres, which is equivalent to 91 729 square miles. Rondônia is bordered by Acre, Amazonas, Mato Grosso and Bolivia. A major part of this state’s appeal lies in its being home to a vast proportion of the Amazon Forest.

Because this area has always been covered in dense jungle foliage, the first European explorers in Brazil were hesitant to brave this land. So, in addition to the native tribes that had been occupying this region for centuries, the only other inhabitants were Jesuits and bandits that had imposed themselves in search of wealth.

The area remained relatively untouched until the 1800’s, when the rubber industry became significant throughout Brazil. But even during this time, Rondônia remained one of the quieter states in terms of the rubber rush.
